Classic Cocktails: Brown Derby

Recipe by Fred Minnick

Named after the famous Brown Derby restaurant in Los Angeles, the Brown Derby cocktail first appeared in the 1950s and became a staple for good drink.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ounces bourbon (I like Bullet or Four Roses Small Batch in this)
  • 1 ounce of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • Honey syrup

TO PREPARE:

1. Shake.

2. Strain.

3. Serve in chilled glass without ice.
